Where did you grow up?
Woburn, MA
Any careers before yoga?
I was a bartender all through college and beyond. I graduated in 1988 with a BS in Finance and spent the next ten years in mortgages.
Why do you love yoga?
I found yoga in 1984 and it was love at first fold. I love the balance that Yoga creates, the stillness that can be achieved in movement.
Why do you teach?
Short story- I had been practicing for 13 years and one of my regular classes was taken over by a terrible teacher. My yoga buddies began to drop off, and I kept trying to tell them it would get better, and any class was worth it. They suggested I should teach them if I felt so strongly. I went to Kripalu a month later.
What you are working on in your own practice?

Favorite quote
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows shall spring;
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be king.”
